Understanding what’s happening in Wharton, and why it matters
Our Purpose
ForWharton exists to help residents better understand what is happening in local government and community life, and why it matters. By documenting public meetings, providing context and analysis, and highlighting people and organizations shaping the town, the site aims to make civic processes more accessible and easier to follow.
The goal is not simply to share information, but to support informed participation. When people understand how decisions are made and what is happening in public, they are better equipped to engage thoughtfully, ask meaningful questions, and take part in the civic life of the community.
Civic engagement works best when it reflects the broader community, not just the loudest voices. ForWharton is intended to help create space for understanding and participation by making public information clearer, more visible, and easier to engage with, especially for those who care deeply about the town but may not always be the ones speaking the most.
